Privacy Policy

The short version

Dotsmith collects no data. None. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and makes no network requests.

Your artwork

Projects are stored as files on your device, inside Dotsmith's own documents folder. They are included in your normal device backups (iCloud or local) under the same protections as the rest of your device. Nothing is uploaded to us — we have no servers to upload to.

Exports and imports

When you export (PNG, GIF, MP4, Aseprite, Tiled, Godot) the file goes only where you send it via the iOS share sheet. When you import a file or a reference image, it is read once and stored inside your project. Both are actions you initiate; Dotsmith never touches your photo library or files without you picking something.

Changes

If a future version ever changes any of the above, this page and the App Store privacy label will be updated first, before the change ships.
